Results

As correlated with the overall objective, the SCAN project results are:

  • the prevention and reduction of school dropout among students enrolled in upper-secondary education;
  • the decrease of the incidence risk of the phenomenon of school dropout;
  • the design of educational strategies for all the students at risk of dropout/ having dropped out;
  • the development of the human resources involved in the education of students at risk of dropout/ having dropped out;
  • the innovation of educational services designed for all the categories of persons involved in the education of students at risk of dropout/ having dropped out;
  • the development of school-community-parents partnerships who will contribute to the diminishment of the dropout risk.

The SCAN project aims at achieving the following results:
  • 4 research studies regarding the identification of students’ needs and possibilities of integration;
  • 10 school dropout intervention / prevention strategies;
  • 3 research tools;
  • 1 set of tools for the assessment of students' personality traits and abilities;
  • 5 innovative tools for the reduction of the school dropout rate;
  • 15 school teaching materials designed to stimulate interest in learning;
  • 1 contrastive study on the topic of school dropout in Romania and Denmark
  • 10 national examples of best practices;
  • 90 school-community-parents partnerships;
  • 2000 dropouts having benefited from intervention strategies;
  • 60 social mediators trained;
  • 210 integrated educational activities contributing to the maximization of the school success chances;
  • 1 virtual network;
  • 3 25-credits long-term training programs developed and approved by the NCPTST;
  • 150 teachers trained to acquire the "second chance" activities/actions strategy;
  • 150 teachers trained to use ICT in actions preventing and mitigating school dropout;
  • 150 teachers trained to enhance their work motivation and to manage professional stress;
  • 150 teachers trained to use outdoor education as school dropout prevention method.
